ONE EYED MEXICAN CHILDREN

The new toy that is all the rage throughout Chiapas is "clackers". If you are old enough you will remember this toy when it was available throughout North America in the seventies. It is a toy that you bang two balls together. The problem is that the plastic/glass balls would shatter after time and explode. Little children, who play with clackers, were having them explode in their faces and taking out their eyes.

The toy was taken off the market after numerous children lost their eyesight and made illegal. Obviously somebody found the warehouse where these weapons were stashed and thought, "hey, lets sell these in Mexico!"

All over Chiapas you hear clack clack clack as children whack their balls together unaware of the impending danger. The toys are new so it will take time before the one eyed children begin to appear.

People will say, "what happened to your little boy?" The mother will say, "clackers". Some unscrupulous vampire living in a mansion somewhere will say, "who cares".

UPDATE

It would appear that the "clackers" have either all broken or annoyed parents have banned them. They are no longer scene.
