chiapas travel intro YAXCHILAN » WHERE TO STAY

Frontera Corozal is a military village run by the Navy. There is a strip of buildings along the river edge, which is considered the "main strip". This is where the hotels and restaurants are located. These hotels are rather primitive so do not expect anything nice and ALL the restaurants close early.

Escudo Jaguar
There is one okay hotel called the Escudo Jaguar, which also has a restaurant and camping. It is located west of the "strip" a short walk. The mosquitoes are bad here and camping is not recommended unless you have a misquote net.

Posada Yhany
If you want to spend the night in a shack that at least has a fan this is the place. The bathrooms are shared and there is a restaurant. We have slept here and found the place relatively clean. It is cheap.

Once upon a time, there was a little seamstress who sewed mightily on his sewing machine. The other machines in his neighborhood laughed at him, and shouted: "Fairy! Only old women are streamstresses!" So the little seamstress sewed shut the mouths of everyone who made fun of him. That is why, to this day, we do not know how the story ended, because no one could tell it.
